tender eyes
Hi all, hope your all well, just writing to ask a question, before i went to work today my eyes felt a little sensitive, in which isn't unusual, however as my job sometimes can be physically straining, in which is rare thank god, but today it was and as the day progressed my left eye inparticular felt more and more tender and by the end was pretty red, should I let my gp know or isn't it anything to worry about? I do see my gp tomorrow afternoon.

Re: tender eyes
Hi Chris,
If it is still red and tender tomorrow, discuss with the GP. Strenuous physical exertion can in fact raise your intraocular pressure (the natural pressure in your eye that keeps it is shape) quite a bit and KC eyes are more affected by high pressure than normal ones.
Also, don't forget, just because you have one eye condition, it doesn't automatically exclude you from getting something totally unconnected. A red tender eye can be anything from iritis to hayfever or a viral infection. Best get it checked out.
