Its all Good Again

Postby Anne B » Tue 16 Jan 2007 8:52 pm

Hi all, went for a check up today(7 weeks post graft) all is looking really good :) we decided that we would leave the eye alone and not put in anymore stiches for now, but it might be something that happens later on.
Going down to using FML 4 times a day and opatonol 4 times a day, which will make life easier because this is what i use in the ungrafted eye :)
the best news is i haven't got to go back for 3 months wooohooo. And vision has improved a little bit :D

Great to hear good news from you!! :D I am glad that they are leaving it alone and not adding more stitches yet. The bottom of mine was lifting in the beginning but it all settled down by itself.

Take care hun, thinking of you!!! Love Sweet X x X

Great news,

You'll not know what to do with yourself without all the hospital visits :D

That is great news. Well done

FLUOROMETHOLONE (FML) is a powerful antiinflammatory eye drop. I hope that this does the trick for you.

Is opatonol for dry eyes?

All the best

Good news Anne! :D

I had a check up today too!

Apparently I had a loose stitch - possibly 2! He pulled one out, wasnt as bad as i was expecting, and I need to go back next week and he'll decided whether to take the other one out or no. Seemed to think the ulcer may have had something to do with that, but its gone for the time being.

So for the time being everything hunkydory!

Sarah , it really doesn't hurt at all to have a stitch removed, i was so suprised. glad every thing seems to be going better for you :D
A bit scary that we had apointments on the same day again!!

Andrew, the opatanol is a Antihistamine drop and i have been using it in both eyes for some time now. my eye/skin allergy is very bad and i do have to take a lot of antihistamines to keep skin and eyes under control.
