The British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) is holding it's annual conference in Liverpool this year. The conference is usually attended by over 1000 optometrists and ophthalmologists from the UK and abroad and includes lectures and workshops on all aspects of contact lens wear and fitting (among others for KC). This year's conference includes a workshop conducted by Paul Rose, the inventor of the Rose K lenses that many of us wear. The workshop is 'Maximising oxygen to the cornea with a semi scleral lens' and he is looking for patients for a live fitting.
The workshop will take place on Sunday May 31 and Paul is looking for 3 patients with the following conditions - post graft or any post surgical, advanced KC (with an oval or nipple cone) and PMD (pellucid marginal degeneration).
If any forum user in one of those categories would be interested in taking part in the workshop or would like to know more, please contact GillNarramore@davidthomas.com who is organising the workshop.
Those selected for the workshop would be paid a small fee and have their travel expenses reimbursed. They would also be offered a free pair of Rose K lenses.
This is a great opportunity to be part of spreading the word about alternative contact lenses for KC among optometrists and contact lens fitters - and maybe a chance to get a lens that would work well for you!

Re: Calling members in the North West
One of our members has volunteered for this, but there are still two places available for anyone who is interested in trying a new lens design.
