Sounds like things are going well.

I have always gone the way of too much rather than too little with the drops, sometimes they seem to partly miss the eye so I do put another in just to be sure (I feel confident that an extra drop now and then isnt going to hurt when I've been on hourly 24 hours a day at times) but if you are worried phone Isabella. They also gave me the dexamethasone in bottle rather than the individual ones, only get 1 bottle on discharge and have to get the rest from G.P. It hasn't caused me a problem using the bottled version and have had no infections, still using them 4x daily now.

I only wore the shield the day of the op, then at night for the first week.

Your description of the redness is almost identical to my eye in the first few days, at a glance could not even tell I had had surgery, just a few marks under the top eyelid, and that was where it was most sore too. I put this down to the clamps they use to hold the eye wide open during the op.

Although I am still struggling with low vision, I am very pleased with how it has all gone and impressed with the care by the team, I think we are in very capable hands :)

Thanks Helen. The chemist have given me 15 days worth on single dose (their not happy) . Checked with the wife and she confirmed they said to use the single use for a month. I am back on Thursday to see Mr P so I'll get him to confirm it and sort out another prescription . I have signed up for a years pre pay Certificate (£10.40 over ten months) so it matters not how many bits of paper it takes to sort it as long as I don't run out. A switch to bottle would be easier and would take up less room. I could also then have a box at work spare in case I forgot the bottle one day. Is it just me that's paranoid about missing a dose.

Time to go the iPhones just beeped to tell me my two hours are up :) Bit of a Kip this afternoon me thinks
