Light sensitivity when wearing lenses does affect some people, others find they need more light just showing how variable KC is.

I found things very bright when I first gor my RGP's in 2004 and it did get a little better but I still needed sunglasses alot. The hospital put a slight tint on my lenses which meant I only wore very dark glasses outdoors and for the most part no sunglasses were needed in the office. Only lightly tinted safety glasses for the lab because of the white walls and white benches.

What sort of work environment are you in?

I used to be in a building where the relative humidity was less than 30% and that always made my eyes dry, this was aleviated slightly by moving away from the aircon unit and drinking plenty of water in addition to using lubricating eye drops. Since November 2008 when my job changed slightly I am now in a new building which has a local aircon unit which draws air staright from outside resulting in the humidity being higher, plus my new job involves being out and a bout more in different conditions so my eyes dry out far less.

You may well benefit from contacting you occupation health person at work to get a work place assessment, mine was very helpful.

The other factor is in getting used to wearing lenses and the solutions you use, finding out what is best for you can be a bit of trial and error but extremely rewarding once you fins something that suits you best.
