That is where haveing a travel kit of lens solutions comes in handy. When I was younger they were in a small drawstring bag, now I find an old case form a compact fold up umbrella works.

I have a small bottle saline and all is wrapped in a towel so can put over a sink in a public toilet. I know the surface is clean and the lens will not bounce onto the floor or go down the plug hole!

In the car I have removed the rear headrest to gain access to the parcel shelf to perform lens care duties. The towel soaks up any solution from rinsing the lens through thoroughly. All this is in a carrier bag I keep in my little back pack.

Andrew, was the space under your hat taken up with marmalade sandwiches?

Gareth

No. if I still had a marmalade sandwich under my hat it could only mean that I had forgetten it was there.

Your travel kit sould like a really good idea. I always had the various bits and bobs in my brief case, but I did not always have my case with me!
