In the uk it seems fairly common for people to have one PK and one DALK. (I have, John has ... etc). I think that this is because they found that a second PK carried a significantly higher risk of rejection than one PK and a DALK.
My DALK has not yet recovered to the point where I'd be able to drive but my PK (pose cataract surgery) is already shaping up to give me driving vision within a matter of weeks.
