KC specialist

Postby cam99 » Sat 05 Sep 2015 1:26 pm

Hi

Does anyone know of any KC specialists in the Worcester area (based in opticians or hospitals). My sight has been deteriorating and high street opticians haven't been much help. I have found RGPs too painful to wear but am open to any alternative solutions.

Any feedback welcome.

Thanks

Cameron

Have you looked at our list of KC friendly optometrists? www.keratoconus-group.org.uk/optoms/index.php
Most of us get our lenses through hospital eye departments where the optometrists who know about KC tend to be based, though not all hospitals have their own contact lens department. I don't know whether the hospital in Worcester does. Alternatively, would your GP refer you City Hospital, Dudley Road in Birmingham which has a large contact lens department with a wide range of lens types?
