Hello from a Newbie. I suffer from relatively mild Karatoconus and am in my early 30s. However I'm finding it increasingly hard to get decent vision from glasses.
I've got a pair of supertoric lenses which rotate all over the place and so are no good. I'm interested in a pair of rigid lenses or hybrids and wondered what people's experiences were.
Also I'm looking for a good optician in Hampshire (I live in Chandlers Ford) who specialise in this sort of thing and offer good prices? I've used a couple of local opticians in the past but without much joy.
Help much appreciated!

Re: Good Contact Lens Fitter Hampshire
Hello and welcome,
Most people with KC wear rigid lenses. But there are also special soft lenses for KC these days, plus the hybrids you mention. Most of us get our lenses through a hospital eye clinic where the specialist optometrists who know about KC tend to be (and where you'd get lenses at the cheaper NHS rate of around £54 per lens). But you'll also find a list of optometrists who are happy to see people with KC at www.keratoconus-group.org.uk/optoms/index.php
