Charlotte's happy morning call!

Postby Charlottes mum » Wed 13 Mar 2013 10:55 am

:D :D So its 6 weeks and 2 days since Char's hydrops (left eye and story on here somewhere). She called me this morning as she was getting ready for day centre, "Mum Mum, come quick, my eye is going back to normal!" I dashed into her room to have a look. Oh my word - since bedtime last night the cloud has reduced significantly. I reckon it's at least a third reduced if not more. Just overnight! Happy, happy and very excited young lady went off to her day centre today, albeit still with lacri-lube and eye shade covering the eye re light sensitivity. I'm just so glad to have some reduction and to see her blue eye re emerging. Even looking at her face-on from a few feet away she looks really different, her left eye is so much clearer. I read on here someone said theirs seemed to clear in quarters? Well a bit at a time is good, I told Charlotte that it is good news and that every few days it might get even more clear. Just got to see what vision is like when all cloud gone. I still have the consultant's words ringing in my ears, "opaque vertical scar central" (appt nx Thurdays 21st due) but today it's a good day and here's to many more like it. :D :D

That's wonderful news! Very happy for you both. Let's hope the healing process goes quickly now.
All the best
