Kerasoft lenses

Postby sarkac » Mon 27 Jun 2011 1:14 pm

Went in for kerasoft fitting finally!

I was a slightly taken aback when I was told that there would be no grantee the vision that from the lenses, would be the same as the trial.
I was fitted a zero power kerasoft lens and a refraction test done over that.
The optometrist told me that there might be a huge difference in the vision depending on my eye shape.
Is this the usual way kerasoft lenses are fitted?

I am actually considering coming down to the UK to get a fitting as there are very few places with kerasoft lenses back here.
The lenses are very comfortable though :) :)

I do see ghosting with the lenses on, and I was wondering if the vision from kerasoft would be better than spectacles ?

Thanks
sarkac

Hi Sarkac

What country are you being fitted in?

I can say yes, KeraSoft lenses are fitted from plano lenses.

The vision should not be different when you get the lenses unless the original fit was not optimal. I really do not understand what they (you?) mean by a huge difference?

Yes, vision in KeraSoft should be better than spectacles.
