Hi James,
I think who told you half a micron got their units mixed up, 500 micron is 0.5mm.
I take it vision you give is corrected which is excellent, so as long as you can tolerate lenses, I would personally say stay clear of the graft route for a while longer.
The limit I read for C3R is 350 micron, so you have other options to explore first.
No knowledge of grafts in the UK done with laser, but I know the research was done in the US.

I give up
Today, I received a letter informing me I have an appointment to see the pre surgery Nurse as I am having a cornea graft on the 11th June. Duhh news to me, or did I imagine the conversation I had in January with Mr L.
Just found out last week my 4 1/2 year old daughter may be borderline aspergers. Life just sucks sometimes.

James
I am really sorry about your daughter.
Also a little surprised about your pre-theatre. Go to it anyway. You will probably hve a chance to see an Opthalmologist at the appointment and you can raise your questions there. If you do not agree to go ahead, you can still say no.
