Can resting your eye improve your vision

Postby Anna Mason » Sat 03 Feb 2007 1:18 pm

Does giving an eye a contact lens free day spruceup your vision (apartthat is from walking into things and missing the mug with the coffee spoon) I know lensefree time is good for your eye but will it improve your vision. If I leave my lensesout apart from the fact I cant see to go out my brain thinks I am going to sleep and I get exhausted.

When I used contact lenses, I did from time to time give myself days off, but I naver really managed to make this a weekly discipline.

I think that this tended to allow 'staining' to heal up before renewing the assault of lenses against the cornea.

Personally I feel it helps.

The day after wearing a lens my sight is grotty, but go 24 hours without, when I wake up the sight is OK.

This is because the cornea has recoverd from the weight of a lens on it and is back to where my brain can cope better with the blur.

I think it is good to have at least one day with out a lens.
