White mark on cornea

Postby Val G » Thu 04 Jan 2007 7:42 am

I have been having problems for a few weeks, please see recent post 'not happy'.

I now have a white mark on my eye, which I am presuming is where the stitch is loose. I will phone eye casualty when they open, but I was told yesterday tht my consultant does not want to see me until the end of the month, Getting very worried now!

Val - if things are continuing to change and feel uncomfortable then I wouldn't just phone casualty but go there so that someone looks at your eye and can explain and hopefully reassure you.

I'm with Anne. It is not just a wquestion of when they want to see you: you want to see them soon!

Even if it is juat a question of them giving reassurance the visit to AandE will have been wirth while.

I did spend the morning in A&E. The white mark was gunk in loose stitch. this was cleaned off and the continuous stitch tweaked around a bit. Not feeling too bad but I think I may give work a miss tomorrow to give it a bit of a rest. Fingers crossed it will settle down until I go to clinic at the end of the month.

lets hope it settles down but honestly with grafts take no chances.

and besides if you go to casualty then they can assure you nothing is wrong or they can sort it out.

i thought it was just some gunk in my eye before and left it a few days then it turned out the graft was rejecting.

so there is no such thing as wasting their time at casualty.

take care

james
anyways all you KC people get out there and try things you are scared to do it will amaze you the impact it has on your self esteem and confidence.
