Hi Jay,
Welcome to the forum.
Headaches can be caused by many things which may or may not come down to KC.
Have you been fitted with lenses or glasses yet?
The reason I ask is as follows;
1) If you do not have lenses or glasses and the world is a distorted blur headaches can often be caused by straining your eyes to understand the blur.
2) If you do have lenses, then the brain can get overloaded with information it is not used to. Plus once you can see again, it is common that we over wear our lenses which can reult in tierd eyes and then to headaches.
3) Subconceous stress, finding you have KC which most people new to this will never have heard of do worry and this can lead to stress headaches.
4) Your work and or home environment can have an impact. I am light sensitive when wearing my lenses and where Iam working today is a lot brighter than the department I am usually working in so I have had to progress steadily to darker and darker glasses to slow the rate at which the headache builds.
5) Airconditioning and other environmental factors can impact on us. When my eye get dry and uncomfortable I can get headaches because my vision has gone down too.
As you say you have headaches since before the KC was diagnosed, it would be advisable to get down to your GP and get it looked into further. If you have an appointment at the eye department in the near future, bring it to their attention too.
Are you employed or a student?
Hope this helps.
Regards
Gareth
