without tipping my hand too much.has anyone else had any strange side effects from using the Pred. eye drops? or perhaps, I'm just going nuts all by myself....

Side effects from the Prednazone?

Unlikely. Pred Forte (as it's sold in the UK) or Maxidex (Dexamethosone) are both very strong steroids, with Pred being a "deeper penetrating" steroid than Maxidex.
I certainly suffered side effects of both steroids - high eye pressure.
In my case, this caused dizzyness and - when getting out of a chair suddenly - moments of vision blackout.
If you are seeing something that could be a side effect, no matter how unlikely it sounds, make sure you report it to your doctor at the next appointment, or earlier (by phone) if that's a while away.

The other thing about side effects, it is always important to read the Patient Information Leaflet.
It lists all reported side effects but all the patient information leaflets have a contact number for the manufacturer so you can find out about side effects and report them.
Drug companies find this very useful as it means any updated patient information leaflet has better information for patients that come after you..

OK......got the pred. from the surgeon with no information sheet.......been dropping it in four times daily and had a spell of what I can only call a 'mood swing' at dinner last night. I think my family will take me back in if I ask nicely. 
Maybe it was related to workiong with one eye all day and coming home and having to make dinner for the regulars plus guests....in short time.
Out of Guinness. that'll give you a mood swing, right there.

Triple vodka, mixed with bottle Babysham made to a pint with cold Guiness
Tastes great, you keep full control of your facalties until it comes to walking
