Your chance to influence KC research priorities

Last year, Fight for Sight, the charity that funds research into all sorts of eye conditions, including KC, launched a consultation on what were the most important research questions that needed addressing so that they could set their priorities for funding research projects. The consultation was open to eye health professionals and people with eye conditions, and I know a number of our members took part. Fight for Sight are now asking for help with the next stage of this exercise, asking people to rank the questions in order of importance.
If you go to www.fightforsight.org.uk/psp.news and click on corneal conditions, you'll find all the research questions that have been suggested (for a variety of corneal problems, not just for KC). You can then choose 10 questions you'd like answered and rank them in order of importance. The consultation is open until 6th April, and you don't have to have taken part in the earlier stage to have your say now. So please take a few minutes to ensure that KC research is prioritised.
Many thanks
Anne

Apologies - I'm told the link I've given doesn't work. I hope this one does

I don't know what's going on on the Fight for Sight website! It definitely was there a couple of days ago. The part that's now closed was last year's exercise of identifying research questions that needed answering. What should now be open (until 6th April) is the next stage of ranking the questions into a 'top ten' for each category of eye conditions. I'll contact Fight for Sight on Monday and hopefully put the correct link here then.
I think anyone who took part in last year's exercise has automatically been sent the next stage, but it should be open to everyone.

The next stage can be found at:

www.sightlosspsp.org.uk

And then clicking on 'News' on the left hand side of the page and then you can download a form by clicking on 'Corneal and external diseases' on the right hand side of the page.

The form is several pages long. At the bottom it says to return the completed form to sightlossandvisionpsp@fightforsight.org.uk by 5th April 2013.
