There used to be many with Kerasoft 2, but I think they have now moved to the newer Kerasoft 3 which is now quite old or the Kerasoft IC which is the newest but been around for a few years now.

Oh!
Coz I just ordered them few days ago. It fitted well than 3 and IC.
The material is only different, right?

The lens is completly different, material and design but as is often said here there is no one lens that fits everyone so you will find cases where an older style lens works better than the newer ones.
Kerasoft 2 would never work for me, mainly because of the lens material and the lens design, the Kerasoft 3 worked extremely well and the Kerasoft IC even better because of the way the optics are applied, the lens design and the type of material.

Thanks.
Also one more thing. During the lens fitting the way my optometrist handled my eye was bad. Taking out the lens was a difficult job for him and had pain thereafter and redness in eye. Is this normal?

If the lenses are removed correctly it should be pain free.
Hopefully it was just an isolated case of a clumsy optom.
With the Kerasoft 2 lens I believe the recomended removal method is to 'pinch' the lens out or to slide it off the cornea to the edge of the eye and it just crumples slightly so you can pinch the lens.
The Kerasoft 3 and Kerasoft IC are a lot thinner lens and is removed in the same way you would with an RGP.

I currently wear KS 2 lenses.
I'm going for KS 3 fitting next week. I also want to try the KS ICs.

Hi Munster,
Since when are you wearing kerasoft 2 lens. How is your experience.
Please comment.
Thanks.

Hi, I've been wearing Kerasoft 2 since 2007.
They are very comfy and quite thick for a squishy (soft) lens. They can sometimes take a couple of hours to settle when 1st putting them in. I also find after about 12+ hrs of wearing them that my vision starts to get a little worse. That could just be tiredness and my corneas in general. I generally have wear them for around 16 hrs in general.
My daytime vision is the best of all the lenses I've tried so far. I've tried the hybrid lenses (hard centre with a soft outer edge), and piggy backs (a soft daily with an RGP sitting on top).
Night vision is not so great, but I think that is also due to more damaged cornea being exposed when my pupils open up in low light.
I'm going for Kerasoft 3 fitting on 26th Oct, to see if I can make my night vision a bit better.
Any more questions, please do ask

Hi thanks for the feedback.
Is your keratoconus mild? I have mild keratoconus in one eye which has progressed recently and graft in the other in which eye sight is really bad.
My vision has been affected after left eye progression and becomes blur especially when driving. I can't drive anymore. Sometime near vision gets blurred and more often far vision gets blurred.
For this reason I have just ordered kerasoft2 lens after trials and hope my conditon gets better. In your opinion will the lens help?
Thanks.
