Keep your receipts

I ordered a new lens but didn't receive it after a couple of weeks so rang up and lens ordering had no record of payment [which I did at the appt at the cashiers in cash] so I have to send in a copy of the receipt. Thankfully I kept the receipt but if I hadn't I would have had no proof of payment. So just thought I'd flag it up - keep your payment receipts from the cashier just in case they forget to log a record of it

Hi Loopy

All I can say is, you sure are right on that one.

I am the world's worst thrower away of receipts, I hate them cluttering up my wallet. Is it a man-thing ? Women seem much less afflicted... But more than once I've ended up bitterly regretting it at some point as another person/company/agency's bureaucratic incompetence creates a problem I then have to solve (the burden of proof being on me to solve it).

Bet you're glad you held onto that vital scrap of paper :D

I'm a hoarder of bits of paper. It isn't that I throw things away so much as I can never find one bit of paper among the thousands of similar bits of paper that populate my desk. However, Louise, you give sound advice and its good to see you posting :)

We missed you!

Andrew

Actually Longhoc I have never kept a receipt for lenses before but for some reason I did this time.
