Hi, this is my introduction to the board as well as a question I hope someone can help with.
My name is Sam, 25 Had KC since I was 19. Look forward to engaging in the community
I wear large soft lenses made for KC patients, or so I was told.
Today I left my contacts out of my eye and out of the case that I left at work for about 3 hours, needless to say, although I didn't realise at the time, they shrunk. I popped them in a cup with fluid for a couple hours and they now appear normal... I phoned the opticians and they said not to wear them anymore.
They won't be able to find out until Tuesday if I will be allowed an nhs replacement, but have said most probably not and that a new set will set me back £149 per lens, which I cannot afford.
Has anyone else had this happen and re used the lenses? Is it safe to continue using it?
Any help would be much appreciated
