I saw these intra ocular lenses on display at the 2nd European KC conferenc in Bordeaux in September. There seemed to be 2 different styles - ones with hooks on them and ones with loops on them.
I don't know anybody with KC who has had one, to find out if they are really successful. The procedure would be similar to cataract surgery when IOLs are used for that.

I've had an intra ocular lens fitted as part of my cataract surgery, but as Elizabeth says, this is not the same as the Toric IOL about which you were asking.

One of the consultants who gave a talk at our Glasgow conference in 2009 talked about intraocular lenses. Have a look at the afternoon session on the conference DVD. These lenses are only an option for people whose KC is no longer progressing. And, of course, all the usual disclaimers about what works for one person with KC won't necessarily work for another!
