what is a hydrop

Postby sarkac » Thu 08 Sep 2011 7:31 am

Hi guys
Ive heard a lot about hydrops , it scares me a little :(
But I am trying to be brave and understand what it is about.
Is this an infection of the cornea?
Does this happen only to KC patients?
Can it be prevented or treated?
and are contact lens wearers more prone to this?
Thanks
sarkac

Ok so its the back surface of the cornea that tears, does crosslinking reduce the risk of hydrops?
