Hi
I was diagnosed with KC over 10 years ago. Thought things have stopped until recently. Alarm bells started ringing when local optician sold me a £325 pair of glasses that made absolutely no difference. After I made a bit of a noise, it became clear something wasn't right. I then went to see Sheraz Daya at the Centre for Sight in London and was told that I have Pellucid Marginal Degeneration in both eyes (one eye is advanced). He's advised me to have both eyes crosslinked at the same time (mainly because I'm from Edinburgh and paying for this myself!), which is happening on 22 June. Three to six months thereafter, I'm due to have a wedge resection done on my right eye. I've asked questions, watched DVDs, but there's nothing like getting info first-hand. Anyone been through similar?
Caroline.
Anyone had crosslinking in both eyes at same time?
