UK Keratoconus Self-Help and Support Association

Wondering if anyone has experience of either fitting semi sclerals or experience of wearing? I've recently been fitted with one in my right eye. Local hospital optoms indicate they have limited experience of using/fitting these lenses. Initial fit turned out to be too tight causing my eye to sting for hours after removal. Had a second fitting today that I'm told will resolve that problem. I get pretty good long sighted vision with this lens however shorter sighted vision...i.e. reading isnt good. Got pretty good long & short vision with RGPs and Kerasoft IC. Just wondering if anyone can advise why the semi scleral doesnt give me both? Optom isnt sure.
