Welcome to the forum

You say that your corneas no longer work, I wonder have they discussed the possibility of a re-graft?

Hello Andrew, thank you, I have belonged to the group for a few years and have learn so much from posts and info. I had my right eye grafted about 26 years ago and have had good eye sight until about 8 years ago when my eye deteriorated very rapidly and now my vision is not good at all. I have not been able to drive for the past 5 years. My eye surgeon says the chances of another cornea transplant being successful is very very slim as my existing cornea is now so diseased, therefore it will be impossible for the new cornea to graft onto it.
I had a transplant on my left eye 25 years ago but due to glaucoma and complications I had to have the eye removed.
This is really exciting news and I will be discussing this with my doctor when I see him shortly.
Thanks again for the wonderful infomation and help from this group.
