Hi jhon

The actual link is here

Frustratingly, though, there is no detailed info on the accelerated CXL except that it takes a few minutes.

Also, the before and after topographies on the webpage look very impressive but there no details of what this was like several weeks later nor are there any details of change (improvement) in visual acuity.

I hope they put up some more comprehensive information! It is really difficult to say how successful a procedure is with such limited details as this.

Hi

I'm looking into Cross Linking after having INTACS a year ago. Will this be available in the UK soon, as I was thinking of July 2011 for getting it done?

Does anyone know what order its best to get eyes done, i.e should I get my bad eye done first (if the cornea is thick enough)?

Thanks in advance

Cx

Hi Ladybird

I presume you mean the accelerated CXL? No-one knows yet what the availability will be. Normal CXL is already widely available in the UK in private clinics.

As to order, it is usually best to have the worst eye done first and to let that settle and give reasonable vision before attempting to do the "good eye". There is always some fluctuation of corneal shape and thus prescription after CXL (can be up to 6 months for some people) so remember that you will have to rely on the worst eye for everything whilst the good eye is settling down.
