I was reading on the NHS website that omega 3 fish oil can help with dry eye. I was wondering if anyone is taking omega3 fish oil and if they found any difference in lens comfort?

Hi

Well as a practitioner, I try and get as many as my patients to try Omega 3 (and also lutein) and they do report a real improvement in dry eye symptoms. I would therefore recommend anyone with KC to take Omega 3.

i take flaxseed oil which is pretty affordable... contains omega 3, 6 and 9 and is also good for hair and skin. not sure if it actually helps.... but it does no harm!

Having KC & teaching nutrition, I strongly advise fish oil & as long as you don't eat lots of other fish & you aren't pregnant, take it with vit A too

I did try to get the Vit A from food, but the fish oil & vit A combination seems to help more

It will also help your cholesterol level, which many people could do with reducing
