hey guys just thought i'd show my face on here and try to shed some light on dark matters, being a guy thats been diagnosed with keratoconus a few year back now and finding things quite odd to adjust to even having tried cross linking in my left eye which failed i was very irritated by the blurry ghost images esp working on computers and the black on the white contrasts, but anyways i just wanted to say please keep positive and things can be done, for example i have been doing my photography long since i was diagnosed and i still continue to even though my left eye is in such a poor way, i have added my webpage to the bottom for those who would like to see. i hope that this will inspire some of you when you feel a bit down, keep happy.
Regards
Adam

Hi Adam and welcome to the forum!
Sorry to hear that crosslinking didn't work for you, but it's good to hear that you're staying positive and not letting KC get in the way of what you want to do.
All the best,
Anne

Hi Sandman,
Like the photos!
There are lots of options you can still explore even if Cross linking did not work.
However, I am curious as to what you mean by this. Do you mean you are still progressing? As many people do find that CXL stops progression it would be veyr interesting to know what happened with yourself?

Re: dont let it get you down
thanks for the welcome and nice words on my pics
as for the crosslinking well it was a while back now and they said that it would stop it from changing getting any worse so to speak, but after it was done and started to heal i found my vision from that eye quite blurry and worse than what it was before so i spoke with the doc and he kept saying give it longer give it longer after a year or so he told me that it was possible that while the cornea was healing its changed shape and thats give me the bad vision, he told me that it may have stabilised my vision but he would need me for more checks, now i got this done private through work and the insurance company wouldnt allow me to go back for a check up as it wouldnt be covered in the costs, and for the last six month i have changed jobs but i do know from going to see the optician that my eyesight in my left eye has got worse and i asked them to compare over the last 3 eye tests, on the plus side my vision with glasses is resonable and good with with my right eye but once the glasses are off its almost all blurry.
hope that helps if you would like to ask anything else i'll try help ya
regards
