New lens problems

I got a new pair of corneal RGP lenses a couple of weeks ago. The left lens is quite difficult to remove. Normally I can flick lenses out at first attempt, but this lens seems to stick to the cornea and I need several attempts before I can remove it. Also my eyes seem to feel drier the following morning; as if I've overworn my lenses. As these lenses are very slightly larger (the previous ones were 8.7 mm these are about 1mm bigger) I have taken care to build up wear time with these lenses, but this doesn't explain why one is difficult to remove.
Anyone any ideas?
Thank you,
Lia

are you using any lubricating drops with the lenses?

Yes, I've used a few drops Systane. I've taken the lenses out after few hours and used a couple of drops. I've used them before when my eyes have felt dry but I've not had to use them with the previous lenses. They've helped, but not made the lens any easier to use.

It could be that the lens fit is a bit tight so you get a slight suction effect making the lenses had to take out, plus I found with a tight lens that the tear flow behind the lens is much reduced that result in the lens drying onto the eye.
When you use the Systane, are you putting it in the back of the lens or the eye drops in your eye only?

Gareth,
Yes I’ve been removing the lens and putting the Systane in the lens before putting it back in my eye. I found this a more successful method than putting a drop in the eye with the lens in place. When I have had problems with dry eye in the past I’ve also used a drop about half an hour before putting my lenses in in the morning and after taking them out at night. The dry eye problem seemed to go away with the previous lenses but has reappeared with these.
I think that I agree with you that the lens is too tight. I’ll try the lens for a few more days, and if there is no improvement, I’ll give up on the lens until a few days before my next appointment in early November.

You're using systane exactly the way I do, so to me it sounds like the lens is too toght.
I've had this with both RGP and soft lenses, all is OK on the fitting but once your settles, the lens in on limpet fashion.
