Hi
Not sure if this has already been discussed at some point or not, but i wondered that as there is no formal recognition available yet, it may be a good idea to have membership cards made that show the charity number and the members name on the front with maybe a list of what they have KC, 2 or 1 eye, transplant???? And on the back, a useful description of the condition to allow us to ask for help when needed without the awquardness of having to describe what it is every time.
Kind of to give us informal recognition.
I have had times when i have really been having a bad eye day and needed my partner by my side to help me, and we have been issued seats on the plane in completely different places. we had to argue with them and i had to tell them that i was part-time partially sighted, she then managed to get us sat together, i'm sure other members will have similar stories.
I have found wesites of companies that print plastic cards, much like credit cards, and they allow individual data to be entered like names and member numbers.
What do you think?

Re: Keratoconus Group Membership Cards
membership cards and formal recognition of part-time sight is what we need, people please fill out the poll and submit your stories for evidence, the sooner we get additional registration the easier it will be for us

Re: Keratoconus Group Membership Cards
Hi , ive had KC since i was 16 , now 39 , had bad days many , i agree with this new idea of registration for people with KC . Things are moving on i have to say with lenses and such , back in the day the information offered to me was limited , my experiences are still the same coping with this . fine then blind as a bat . mates helping me home due to lenses popping , we need to be recognised as sight affected people i say .
