Its been just about 6 months since i had the CXL on my left eye. I was back for a checkup with my surgeon and optom today.
After 3-4 months of hardship trying to get a lens with good fit and good vision I'm back wearing the lens that was first fitted after my surgery. I was delighted to be told that it looks just fine on the eye. Which is good because this lens is very easy to wear. We tried 2 different lenses before going back to this one. One of them managed to put a scratch on my cornea and the vision was dreadful through the other.
From my surgeons side of things. He is very pleased with the results. The KC has been stopped and had even regressed slightly
I get one line more on the chart and have even gotten back some clarity while wearing glasses.
Now that all seems well in the left eye its time to have the right looked at.
He compared the Topography maps from January, March and 3 weeks ago.
There has been further steepening of my cornea unfortunately.
I have been booked in to have the CXL done on that eye for the 22nd of July.
It seems that it might be possibly to have the SIMLC done with this eye as the KC has not advanced as far, and so the cornea it somewhat thicker.
So fingers crossed all goes as well for this eye as it did with the last.

Denis
