Hi all,

My names chris i'm 23 and this week i've been diognosed with Keratoconus. Its been great to find the site as im pretty lost in all of this. I've been told not to drive until further notice and my optomologist is hoping strong lenses will help with my vision as he likes to shy away from operating if he can.

I have been told i should be registered as partially sighted? as the vision in my right eye is very poor and rely mostly on my left which is deteriorating as you would expect, Do you have any advice on things such as this that i should be doing now i have been diognosed?

Many thanks

chris

Chris

if your ophthalmologist has offered you registration, I'd think very hard before saying no. Registration opens all sorts of rights including protection, such as it is, under the provisions of the DDA.

If your contact lenses arrive and give you good corrected vision, that is all to the good.

Every good wish, and welcome to the forum.

Andrew
