Volunteers required for KeraSoft workshops

Postby Lynn White » Wed 27 Jan 2010 7:55 pm

UltraVision is running a series of workshops to train practitioners how to fit their new KeraSoft IC lens and are looking for volunteers to act as patients. The sessions will be held in the KeraSoft Clinic based in Ultra vision's offices in Leighton Buzzard and volunteers should be able to attend during a working day. Lynn White MSc FCOptom will be carrying out the fittings and if volunteers wish to be actually fitted with KeraSoft lenses, the contact lenses will be supplied free of charge.

Initially, there is a workshop being organised via the BCLA on 19th February, also at the Leighton Buzzard offices, to be held between 6.00 - 8.00 pm.

If you are interested, please contact Pauline Maslin at Ultravision on Pauline.Maslin@ultravision.co.uk

Leighton Buzzard is a wee bit off my beaten track. but keep posting and it may be that one time there will be a training event in West Central Scotland :D

All the best to all who take part in this training event.

I'd love to be able to come along; unfortunately I suspect that I will be unavailable (pending "Button" delivery  ).

All the best though, and I hope you get lots of takers.

Bedfordshire. Actually, if my memory serves me right, Leighton Buzzard is in South Beds.

Its just south of Milton Keynes, just off the M1 near Woburn Abbey. Is on the Midlands trainline out of Euston.

Here it is on googlemaps

PS, sorry I haven't been around for a while, I have been all over the place recently including India and am currently at the Global Speciality Lens Conference in Vegas.

Hope all goes well with Button! (I suspect he/she will never have any other name :D )

Shame it is so far away and Button will be arriving soon, only three weeks to go!

Hehe, have been a guinea pig having lenses fitted loads now, hoping you get a good response. It is good in helping to teach new people how to fit lenses for us.

I've volunteered!

I emailed Pauline on Wednesday evening and I had an acknowledgement yesterday so I'm justing waiting to see if I'm accepted. I've only ever had hard or RGP corneal lenses so to try a soft lens would be interesting. In fact it was when I asked to try soft lenses back in 1990 that my KC was discovered.
