Hi Guys , its been 7 months since i had my right eye grafted .. It has been a pretty smooth journey really not much pain or discomfort at all. Just after reading some of the threads on here im thinking my vision in the grafted eye is pretty c**p . I think on last appointment it was about 6/36 few lines better with pin hole. I have only had one stiche out so far . I know it a waiting game , but just wondering were people are at / or were at on this stage of there graft ??

Much the same as you. I was 18 months before things began to settle down.
All the best

Unaided you are getting better than I get in my right eye post graft and about the same as my left.
By the way my grafts are over 20 years old.
Remember the aim of the graft is to provide a more regualr cornea shape where vision is easier to correct, so once the stiches come out after 12 - 18 months, you might still get the same vision, but due to a smoother cornea shape, you could get 6/6 with glasses. I did for a number of years and then age creept up on me and so my vision needs a little more help.
7 months is still early days and we all heal at different rates, those who have posted here about going for a graft don't always post on the forum after the event, epecially if they feel everything is going well. Human nature we don't often share the good news as much as we should.
