Got a lens for left eye

My right I is beyond the point of a lens being of benefit, so I decided to try one in my left in the hope it does something productive for my vision, had a appointment 6 weeks ago to try a heap of them and another 3 weeks ago now, at the appointment 3 weeks ago found a lens which appears to make my vision sharper and a little clearer, so yesterday was back at the hospital to collect the lens and to try put it in and out myself.

I appear to be able to get it in without much of a problem, the problem is when I try and take it out, managed to get it stuck at the top of my eye twice which led to severe anxiety and assistence from the optom to try get it out. If anyone has any tips for getting the lens out I would appriciate it.

Got uni at 1pm today, need to leave the house around 12.10pm so not going to stress my eyes out by trying to get 10mins lens wear before I go.

So thought Id share my news with you all.

Hope everyone is ok?

I'm good thanks

Well done on the lens: we all have experience of lens hunting around the odd corners, over the top and in below our eyes! My wife used to carry a little maglight to help her find the recalcitrant lens!

Don't be tempted to overdo the weartime.

All the best

Andrew

Andrew, don't worry I wont be, ended up looking like I had been crying for days and days after my appointment yesterday, just annoys me that the hospital said 'the rx isn't as good as it should be but we have exhausted all lens options for the moment in your eye' Ben ordered me some glasses a few weeks ago now which havent arrived yet as the hosptail said I should wear them as well as the lens, I wish more than anything they had picked up the KC earlier as the graft for right eye is a terrqafying prospect this evening, yet normally I am ok with the prospect of it.

Had a silly lecturer earlier say to me 'why don't you just get very strong glasses and things will be ok' thankfully my close friends on my course have educated themselves about KC and helped me stand up to him
