Firstly, let me extend a belated welcome to the forum.

Let me also explain why I have moved your question from the forum where you posted it to the General Discussion Forum. Very few users who have experience of CXL will ever venture into the forum for younger users, so that the chances of anyone with a positive experience being able to respond would be lower in the 'Children and teenager' area than in the GDF. If you are not happy about having your question in this area, please let me know and I'll restore it to the place where you originally posted it.

For myself, I know that there are a number of ophthalmologists in Scotland who offer CXL and who report good success with this procedure. Indeed, we heard from some of them at this year's conference in Glasgow. If you contact Ann (chair of the charity) she will let you have a report of the conference that includes the names of participants:
chair@keratoconus-group.org.uk.

I have just had CXL undertaken (wed 14 Oct) at a private clinic down in the South East, others have had it done at clinics in London and i think that there was a post somewhere on here where a couple of teenagers had CXL done either Plymouth or Portsmouth.

I am based in the Northwest, and i couldnt find any clinics around here that undertake CXL. There was at least one in Yorkshire.

However all of these are private clinics, unless you can get on a trial (and being under 18 may exclude you) on the NHS you will have to be looking at private clinics.

I chose the clinic i chose, based on the responses i got from various clinics around the country for my initial enquires and any follow up questions i had. I undertook my research over a 6-9month period, prior to booking in for a consultation and had i not been comfortable with the clinic i had the procedure undertaken i would have looked down my list. However i was very happy with the clinic that i went with, and will be looking at having the Intac procedure in a few months time.

My surgeon mentioned CXL could be used to treat my son while we were at St Paul's Eye Hospital in July, we're back there next week so I'll see whether it's available there yet. :)
