Dry eyes - a night out with mates - had to come home early

Postby space_cadet » Tue 06 Oct 2009 8:42 pm

Last ngiht was the first social of the accademic year for one of the societies I have well ok am on the committee of at uni.

Started off at 7.30pm at uni, all going well put in drops at 7.20pm before leaving the house, and then at 7.50pm as the stupid union building always makes my eyes dryer than the rest of the uni building for some reason.

The social I may add was a 'scene tour' so essentially pub crawl for the members of the LGBTQ society. I am accessibility officer so my fellow committee members as are many of our regular members used to me sat with hair in front of face, hands over eyes, putting in drops like they are a bag of crisps I am scoffing etc, not even half way to the first pub needed drops, got to first pub at roughly 8.20pm double drops needed, next pub 9pmish more needed, by 9.30pm had enough and got a cab home.

Thankfully I am using single vial preservative and additive free drops memory is blank of name at moment as they are the BEST ones I have found thus far.

Just sucks that anight I was looking forward to had to be cut short, in the front door and looked like a panda as eye make up was down my face! Managed to get the make up on though which is semi progress.

Oh the fun of KC! and the awesomeness of understanding friends who have texted during the day to see how I am doing.

M&S cream slice from the M&S at station where I got a cab back home made the lack of social time wortwhile when I got home, well was a semi short term fix,

speakingof eye drops they were due about 10mins ago! xox
