Hi
Just out of interest can anybody “beat” this amount of procedures done to their eyes or am I “the only one in the village”?

1. Bi-Lateral Corneal grafts due to Keratoconus
Right eye in 2000, Left eye in 2002 [Israel]
2. Lasik treatment, with corrections, both eyes, 2003-2005. [Moorfields]
3. Cataract right eye-July 2005, [Moorfields]
4. Secondary cataract-Feb 2008 [Israel]
5. Cross-linking with Riboflavin, right eye-March 2008, [Israel]
due to recurrent Keratoconus
6. Pseudophakia Implant right eye May 2008 [–10 sph] [Israel]
7. Chronic Dry eyes 2000 [Tear plugs 2008] [Gartnavel]
8. Prescription for glasses change every three months

Hi Steven
I stopped at bi-lateral corneal transplants, so certainly can't beat your record! But I see you're in Glasgow, so why haven't you booked for the conference on 20th?! It would be good to see you there.

You beat me, Stephen: one pair grafts and a single cataract operation: but then I still have some time to go!

Good thing we're not having a race! :D

Andrew

ps The Conference will be a good opportunity for networking in the UK KC community :D

No eye surgories for me as yet, but been asked to think about grafts. I am interested to hear about your experiences of the Israeli health care system, a good friend of mine is a doctor in Yerushalim (Jerusalem) he is doing general medicine at moment as not sure what he wants to specialise in.
