First Time RGP Lenses

Picked up my first pair of RGP lenses today following my hospital appointment last week.

Got them in at the moment and they feel very strange and seem to be moving around a lot.

Could any of you who have been through this give me any advice as to the best way to introduce my eyes to these lenses, and how should I be building up my wearing time.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Fordy

I was told wear time shuold be built up by 30-60 minutes per day, depending on how your eyes feel, how tired you are adn what conditions you are wearing them in. Some poeple can only manage to increase their wear time by 15 minutes a day, others have are able to wear CL for longer than the recommended 60 minutes it is very very personal. listen to your eyes and dont over do it, if your eyes go red get the lenses out immediately and rest your eyes.

Five days in and going pretty much as expected, up to three hours wear ( just) but seems to be a problem with the left lens (KC eye) due to the steepness of the astigmatism the lens is sitting to low and distorting the vision, spoke to the optom who said he thought this might happen and is going to order a Hybrid lens for the left eye only.
Does anyone who has had these think it would help, and is it acceptable to have different lenses in each eye?

Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks

I hope it is acceptable to have different lenses in each eye as my CL fitter is ordering me different lenses for each eye

My belief is i would rather have different lenses and a good comfortable fit in both eyes than one eye struggling due to one lens not quite fitting properly.
