I'm waiting for a new prescription for scleral lenses - in the meantime I'm "piggybacking" with soft (dailies) and RGP lenses, with reasonable success (and have been for about 2 years) - but it's far from ideal. I'm having real problems with the RGP lenses "fogging" - I'm down to sitting at my desk all day with a bottle of saline, and having to remove and rinse the lenses maybe every 30 minutes or otherwise the text on my monitor fades away in a mist! Boston cleaner gives me a few more minutes wear between rinses, but I'm having to do it so frequently it's doing my head in. The RGP lenses I have are quite old - and hopefully my new sclerals will solve the problem. But in the meantime - anyone out there had this problem? - and anyone come up with a solution (no pun intended!)? Off to rinse my lenses ......

Hi Bob.

I experience fogging too, although it certainly worsens when I am using the computer. I would suggest regular breaks as us contact lens users, generally I believe, tend to blink less when using the computer and this I think will increase the fogging.

This may sound bizarre but actually remind yourself to blink but most importantly have regular breaks as I find this makes a big difference as does drining plenty of water to make sure I am well hydrated.

I must add that I wear sclerlals and still get this problem but every eye is different so that doesn't mean you will too!

Let me know as I will be interested on the results you get from sclerlal lenses and how you find them.
