Lens Cases!

Postby Sweet » Fri 19 Dec 2008 11:13 pm

Hey there everyone! :D

Just wanted to drop in and ask if anyone has noticed the recent changes to lens cases in the Boston range? I bought a large selection of contact lens solutions from Postoptics online a week ago as I do about every three months and was surprised to find that the new lens cases in the Boston packs were clear. I thought this was kinda nice when I unpacked them, but since using them have found it to be really difficult! LOL!!

It is so much harder to see which is left and right now as the letters on the top are see through. I am thinking that maybe I will paint in one of them so that I will know, but now I think it was so much easier when they were white and the right one had a green lid. It is also harder to see when they are getting full of solution as they are so clear. When they were white the solution reflected on the sides of the case when you filled it.

Anyone else find this a problem? Or is it just me finding this strange!??!!! :roll:

Thanks for reading!! Take care Love Claire X x X

I have several lens from Boston this year;

White for Left and Green for Right
Blue for Left, White for Right
All white with a raised L and a recessed R, the older ones for the year

My latest ones are a rasied L with a raised ring and a recessed R with no ring round, one side of the case has a notch in it too which I always have on the right just incase I get the lids mixed up I know I still have the case the right way round.

Will keep a look out for the clear cases which I gues will make it a real swine to see if a soft lens is left in.

I have given up using clear lens cases; they make the lens very hard for me to find. I get white plastic lens cases with one white lid and one green lid. I am given the free by the optician who looks after my specs!

PS It is really nice to see you again, Claire. All the best. AM :D

Hehe thanks, it is nice to be back! Have just had a lot of health problems, not all related to KC but it is getting better.

The clear lens case is a pain when trying to find a soft lens, it just disappears!!! I didn't have a choice on the lens cases, they came in the pack. I buy solutions about every three months online, so would miss new things coming out at certain times. Just wanted to know if anyone else had problems with them? I could buy separate cases, but a case comes with the solution in the pack!!

Talk soon! Have a wonderful Christmas!!! Love Claire X x X
