Hi

Everyone

I been reading into few of very old posts ....

I understand from DVD and post ther are two ways for C3R

1) with the epithelia removed (scrapped off; its a 70micron layer on the cornea that grows back in days)

2) without the epithelium removed.

Which is preferable (in my case thickness of my cornea in only 370 )

Also there ware recomendations to go to Germany ......

I don't know if there is a problem with the operation without the epithelium removed but I think you can do the treatment
with the distilled water modification either way.
The only problem with this method (without the epithelium removed) is that doctors argue whether riboflavin penetrates enough or not.
There are some recent papers with good results. I have personally done this with the original method (epithelium removed) which
has been studied more and I would propose this to you but this depends on your doctor, have you discussed it with him?

I had no pain at all, even though I had a PRK just before the CXL. It's just like being in a solarium bed. You may have some pain the first or two nights
after the procedure but that's it.Don't worry, there is nothing to be afraid of, really.
Waiting for your recovery news.

I think pain is quite subjective, the only feeling I had through the operation was something like a massage in my eyes, nothing else.
The first two nights are a bit strange but nothing terrible.
My vision is better than before but I also had a PRK so I don't know whether cxl has helped my vision or not. My k readings were stable until October when
I checked my sight which is what I wanted, I hope everything goes well for you too. Keep us informed, good luck.
