Hi all,
I've just been told I've got a corneal nebulus right at the centre of my left cornea. I've had this for quite a few years but up until yesterday thought it was a raised scar (I didnt know the medical name).
In the past I've had this "nebulus" lasered twice but within a few months it has returned. Apparently at my appt yesterday I was told that there was signs of superficial staining when she looked into my eyes.
Im going back in 6 months and then may need it lasering again - I dont know whether it is all in my mind but ever since she told me tbe contact lens was rubbing on the cornea that eye now feels uncomfortable. Has anyone else had one of these nebulus's and if so has yours returned??
Many thanks
Libby

Re: Corneal Nebulus
I've never had a corneal nebulus, in fact I had never heard of one occurring alongside Keratoconus. I am so sorry you have this extra burden to bear.

Re: Corneal Nebulus
Hi Libby
I have heard of these from other members, and lasering them off does seem to be the common treatment. And yes, they can come back. The other option, of course, is to try scleral lenses (the ones that cover the whole eye). They don't touch the cornea, so wouldn't rub on the nebulus.
