Intacs + CXL, then intacs removed?

Hello all,

This is a special case, like KC often is. :)

I have had 1 thick intac segment for 6 months, with problem of pain and halos. Also I do not know whether RGP lens can fit over that very well. Now I am going to go for a corrective operation, where also CXL will be made.

Anyone out there who has had intacs + CXL done and afterwards had intacs removed? What is going to happen? I would like to compare these two situations side by side, what are the probable differences in cornea shape:
1) Basic case without any intacs but with CXL done
2) My case with intacs, then CXL, then intacs removed.

Can I expect more benefits or risks?

The other option would be to just remove the intac now and then do CXL.

As you can see, these are compicated issues. Any comments highly appreciated.

i just had one intac in the lower section of the right eye. And im getting CXL on that same eye in two weeks.
I dont really have any advise in regards to the intac then being removed, i guess it sounds like a good idea as long as the CXL hold the position that the intac corrected.

I guess i would ask if they were to remove the intac would the further surgery cause any changes??
