down's syndrome with keratoconus

Dear all, my Down's Syndrome son age 37 years has recently been diagnosed with keratoconus. Does anyone out there know of a Down's Syndrome person who has had collagen cross linking procedure performed? If you do how did the actual procedure affect that person? Thank you Jane Shaw
