Hello all
I have recently been diagnosed with Keratoconus and discovered this group whilst looking for information.
Although I am new to Keratoconus, I am not new to eye problems. In 2000 (when I was 21) I had a retinal venous occlusion with retinal haemorrhages in my right eye. I am also being monitored for normal tension glaucoma in both eyes due to the appearance of my optic nerves/discs.
I am 29 and also have medical conditions affecting my lungs and stomach. The Keratoconus is affecting my right eye. I had been managing okish with glasses, but my consultant referred to the hospital contact lens clinic.
I have been fitted with and am trying to get used to a lens in my right eye. I am continuing to wear sun glasses to help me with my strong dislike of bright lights and headaches.
Thanks for reading, I look forward to reading more about other people experiences.
Rachael
