Rapitil eye drops

Postby Libby » Sat 09 Feb 2008 5:06 pm

Just wondered if anyone knew if there was any reason why rapitil eye drops should note used long term. I have KC and around 5 or 6 years ago was prescribed rapitil eye drops to use morning and night to keep conjunctivitus at bay and also bhlepharitis dampened down. The reason I ask is I saw a locum gp recently who muttered something under his breath about its a difficult balancing act. I know I should have questioned him further but I didnt really read much into it at the time.
Now he's got me wondering if I should be thinking of an alternative treatment.
Wondered if anyone knew the answer otherwise I'll have to have another trop to the GP's. (sometimes I think ignorance is bliss lol)
Kind regards Libby :)

Unfortunately, once you overhear a doc muttering under his breath, you are left worrying and thinking of all the worst case scenarios you can imagine.

In your place I'd go back to my GP, armed with a little note of all the questions I can think of and then make sure that I didn't move from the consulting room until all my questions had been answered.

All the best
