Sutures no more

All 16 of the sutures in my left eye were removed yesterday. The worst bit was waiting in the ward.
Into the operating theatre, said hello to Dr Ramaesh. Looked up into the light and watched the little scissors at work. Within ten minutes Dr Ramaesh spoke the words "Good Work", my eye was bathed and I was returned to the ward where I got dressed, was offered a cup of tea and given my next clinic appointment.
It is good to be alive and a patient at Gartnavel General Hospital.
