Nasty, sharp pain......am I alone with this?

Greetings to all you other KC brothers and sisters. OK......as usual there are ups and downs, and we all come to expect and accept them. However, I am a little worried that this is just wrong. I am now wearing an RGP only on the left eye, which still has stitches, 16 point running. This is usually OK, but when the pain starts it is overwhelming. It comes on FAST.......and stops me in my tracks. It is a sharp, intense pain. Now, my pain threshold is pretty high, so when I admit to stopping because of it, then it is pretty big pain.

My optometrist has looked and done the dye test, etc and can't see anything causing it. I really wonder if there are stitch issues, moving about because of normal changes in eyeball diameter brought about by blood pressure changes, work activity level changes, eating/not eating, etc.

Wow!! Anybody else have this? What helps with it? Thanks in advance for all your ideas , suggestions and LOW VISION JOKES.

A nun in the convent walked into the bathroom where mother superior was taking a shower. "There is a blind man to see you," she says. "Well, if he is a blind man, than it does not matter if I'm in the shower. Send him in."

The blind man walks into the bathroom, and mother superior starts to tell him how much she appreciates him working at the convent for them. She goes on and on and 10 minutes later the man interrupts: "That's nice and all, ma'am, but you can put your clothes on now. Where do you want me to put these blinds?

As to your pain, I wonder whether a visit to your ophthalmologist might not be a good idea. It may be that an ophthalmologist would see something that an optometrist would miss.

All the best
