I won't be there either
When I arrived at the NEC Classic Car Show last thThursday my alternator borke on the Capri RS3100 and pumped so much charge to the battery, the acid boiled and the resultant gasses could not escape fast enough so blowing a hole in one battery cell and covernig the already hot engine with even hotter acid
Going to Donnington Ford Spares day in an attempt to get some of those hard to find parts for my car so I can spend the next couple of months repairing the damage
Hope you all have fun and fewer drinks than normal get spilt.

Gareth, what do you mean by you won't be their EITHER?
You always have an excuse to avoid buying me that drink you owe me. This is the most compex one yet.
Congratulations, 10 out of 10.
Seriously, i hope you sort your jalopy soon.
I will try to be very careful with my drink this time and make sure it goes over somebody else instead of me. That should ensure plenty of elbow room for me.

Whoever turns up will be most welcome, as always.
Hope to see as many of you as possible at the Mad Hatter for Sunday Lunch!

It would have been cheaper for me to go to the social.
My wallet is a couple hundred of our British pounds lighter and that was jsut buying the little bits and pices need to rebuild the engine bay!

I feel for you, Gareth. I'm sure that hot acid and shiny metalwork don't mix

Definitly not, I had to take a hammer to one screw and the bracket where the acid had chemically welded everything to the inner wing!
End of next week should have all the parts
The we start pulling the car to bits
